Glassmere Fuel Donates 10K to Local Animal Shelter

Zac Cromie (second from left) meets with team members of the Butler County Humane Society to hand off a donation. Donation funds will exclusively go to help rescued Beagles that were brought to the shelter after being freed from the recently shut down Envigo RMS facility in Cumberland, Va.

Below is a letter from Butler County Humane Society’s Executive Director Cari Ciancio. We are extremely grateful that we are able to help support the shelter and these animals through a donation.

Thank you so much for your gift of $10,000 on 11/4/22. Your donation supports animals that have yet to find loving homes because the Butler County Humane Society relies on the financial support of compassionate donors like you to save the lives of orphaned, injured, and abandoned pets.

Though it bears the county’s name, the BCHS is not a government-affiliated, sponsored, or financially supported organization.  As the only animal shelter in Butler County, BCHS houses, feeds, provides veterinary services and finds forever homes for the dogs and cats that are rescued by other agencies, including law enforcement and state and local dog wardens. The shelter also provides services to animals that are surrendered by their owners or are brought in by private individuals.

Over the years, we have worked hard to increase the number of lost animals returned to their owners and to increase our adoption and placement of animals into loving environments, all with great success! Your contribution helps us provide continued medical care, community outreach and education, as well as increase transfers to and from partner agencies to maximize adoptions. Your donation also allows our staff to care for animals here in the shelter 365 days a year.

Thank you again for your kind gift and for creating a brighter future for our community’s homeless pets. The animals are so lucky to have you on their side!

Sincerely,
Cari Ciancio, Ed. D.
Executive Director
